Performance Analysis of Gas Turbine Inlet Air Cooling Plant with Hybrid Indirect Evaporative Cooling and Absorption Chiller System

To generate electricity, Gas Turbine Power Plants are extensively used around the world but their efficiency is negatively affected on hot days by ambient air temperatures. and output power will decrease 2% 12.5% respectively at temperature 40°C due to lower density resulting increase in compressor specific work. 
 Ordinarily, cooling down intake of gas turbine facilitated employing a variety Inlet Air Systems (TIACSs), depending plant’s immediate weather conditions. This paper studies new hybrid method, combined systems (IECS + Absorption Chiller), for 157 MW plant located Asalouyeh southern Iran. The Performance Thermo-Economic analysis revealed that annual can be 62,090 MW, net income generated increased electricity sales $ 3,670,000 60% period year while Payback Period found 1.56 years.
